Arboricultural Consultancy & You
Though each of us can provide basic care for our trees, sometimes we need the expertise of an arborist - whether to determine the best place to plant a new tree in our yard, to prune a tree properly, to remove a damaged tree, or to learn if our tree needs treatment for a disease or infestation.
Arborists can also provide reporting services ranging from single page, rated, assessments to comprehensive multi page documents. Arborist reports are useful when tree owners seek an assessment of the potential for hazard in order to make an informed decision regarding care and maintenance for their tree/s.
In recent years the level of arboricultural reporting required by government, organisations and individuals has increased. Typically arborist reports are now required by most councils for tree removal and to obtain approval for construction projects that will have an impact to the surrounding trees.
Jeff Jakeman, our consulting arborist provides reports and consulting services for councils, individuals and companies. As a professioanl consultant, Jeff will always provide impartial recommendations regarding tree retention and removal. Coastland Arbor Services’ reports contain full explanations of all the issues that affect the tree/s on any given property and also make recommendations as to how best to manage and protect the existing trees. Precise recommendations are given relating to tree retention, removal and construction issues rather than just generic statements.
Our reports are "user and reader friendly". Jeff makes a point of writing his findings in such a way that clients who aren’t knowledgable in arboricultural terms can understand without difficulty. Scientic terms are explained fully and, if necessary, an additional Glossary of Terms is included as an appendix to fully explain more complicated arboricultural terms and concepts.
Our Arboricultural Consulting and Reporting Service includes: tree assessment and diagnosis; tree preservation strategies; root zone management and development assessments before, during and after construction; pest and disease ID & treatment; soil/tissue/foliage analysis ; SULE (safe useful life expectancy) ratings and tree valuations.
